Apple Brandy

We honor our ancestral roots and the long Slovak history of turning forest fruit into celebratory drink with our Limited Edition Apple Brandy, made from Michigan cider apples grown by our friends at Blake’s.

We can’t call it calvados because it doesn’t come from Normandy — and “Clawsondos” just doesn’t have quite the same ring — but this oak-forward, French-style brandy can be enjoyed in similar fashion, to sip on its own or in cocktails calling for brandy. (Boozy apple Sazeracs, anyone?)

With no added sulfates or additives of any kind, the pure Michigan terroir comes through as floral peach and caramelized sugar on the nose, giving way to green apple and vanilla on the palate, leading through a delicately structured finish. Aged in port barrels and double-distilled, this 81-proof brandy is a testament to where we came from and where we are, making it a perfect toast to old friends and new!
